Hello and welcome to my entrepreneurship blog! I am excited to be teaching Entrepreneurship and look forward to the work we will be doing together. I am passionate about helping my students practice their communication skills, polish their professional skills, and develop their personal brand. If you put in the time and effort to develop yourself you’ll be that much closer to becoming a successful professional.
A little bit about me. I am originally from Simi Valley, California, which is a suburb located near Los Angeles. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico. After graduating from college, I went to work for an insurance company. While working for them I moved around to Portland, Oregon where I earned my Master’s in Business Administration from Marylhurst University. Then in 2012 I moved to Austin, Texas. After spending more than 10 years in the insurance industry I decided it was time to make the exciting transition in to education. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at Texas State University. I have 2 cats, named Lizzy and Captain Kirk. I love to read and write, and am a big advocate of self-reflection and evaluation. I believe in the power of providing regular feedback. I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and going to concerts and movies.
I am here to support my students along their learning journey and am available for any question or concerns by both students and parents. If you would like to schedule some time after class please don’t hesitate to come see me. I’m also available by email. I am also here to be a resource and support for parents as they support their students. Parents are welcome to reach out to me by email or phone. I would love to schedule time to meet and welcome parents engagement in the content.
